Let Me Introduce Myself

My name is Devon and I am a 23-year-old graduate of Emerson College. I’ve lived in Houston, Boston, Los Angeles (though I only spent 3 months in LA), Arlington/DC metro area, and who really knows where I’ll end up next. I have high hopes for some traveling!

As much as I love my friends and family, I love books and reading just as much. The adventures that books give you are so infinite and important. For that reason, I’ve been blogging for about 5 years; I began blogging on tumblr and then made the move to wordpress once I decided I wanted to build some ways into the publishing industry and create a more professional blogging platform.

The most important thing I’d really like you to know is that I am not bribed, under any circumstances, to say what I do in any of my reviews. I’m not sure how often that happens in the blogging world, but thought I’d note that. Also, I split my reviews into sections with the review part labeled “My thoughts” for 1) the above reason and 2) I don’t want anyone to think that I believe there is a “right” and a “wrong” way to see a book — there isn’t. The review is simply my thoughts about the book (I try to be as spoiler-free as possible) because, if you so choose, you have a right to discover what kind of book you’re getting yourself into! A sidenote for my reviews: my “buy” links are not affiliate links. They’re simply links to stores of my choosing. I tried out the affiliate thing a time ago, but it was too much for me.

As of April 7, 2015, if you would like to send me a request to read an ARC of your work (or an author you represent in some capacity) or have any other questions, please email at readinguntiloblivion@yahoo.com. Any comments made on this page will be removed! I’m changing this up to decrease notifications WordPress sends me. And thank you in advance.

Welcome to Reading Until Oblivion, and happy reading!
